  • Sabritas Crema y Especias – Completely Unexpected Turn of Flavors

    sabritas_crema

Sour Cream & Spices flavor from Sabritas (also known as Lay’s, Walkers or Smith’s in other countries) turned out to be a surprisingly unique, interesting and delicious combination of flavors. This is not the Sour Cream & Onion flavor we are all so used to. By ‘spices’ they mean a mixture of unidentified seasoning with a decent hint of lime. Remember, we’re in Mexico! Mexicanos put it on everything. There was also a very slight trace of sweetness there that reminded me about the grossest potato chip flavor in the world, but in this case it’s so light that it’s hardly even there.

Bought in San José del Pacífico, Mexico.

    My rating: 8/10.

  • Doritos Pizzerolas – This Pizza Needs More Toppings

    doritos_pica

Generally, pizza-flavored chips taste like pizza spices rather than an actual pizza. And yet Doritos Mexico did a pretty good job imitating the flavor of our favorite Italian Food with their Pizzerolas. You can even taste the crisp fresh crunch of a (thin) pizza crust and smell the aromatic tomato sauce. It might sound weird, but I thought the product was too dry. I like my pizza juicy! But not too greasy!

Pretty sure a small amount of queso dip would easily fix this.
